Well, after getting a hotel room here in ABQ and realizing I didn’t have a wired NIC with me, I tried to use my Orinoco card to find some open networks. Did I mention I didn’t bring an external antenna? So of course I can only pick up the AP signal but not make a solid connection.
The solution? A CAT5 cable wound up and my HT antenna. Turns out it resonates the signal enough to get online. True hackery at its best!
