Quick Update
This site has been horribly neglected recently but I’m hoping I’ll have some time each day to write up a post about what’s been going on and what I’ve been up to. Below is a quick little update of the things I’ll be looking to talk about.
- Dayton Review - Great time, great finds, can’t wait for next year!
- WATS - I’m at a stuck point with deciding how to define objects (widgets). Do I use a single file to define style and function, if not, how do I link the two? What do I use to define each?
- Recent Severe Weather - Here in the Metro D area we’ve gotten some good looking storms. I’ve got some pics and video that I’ll be posting up soon.
- Heliogeekery - The Sun has gotten quite active again recently with AR960 pumping out 3 M-class flares in 24 hours. There is a good probability for an X-class flare.
- Toshiba Portege 7020CT - I just purchased this off of eBay. It had a CMOS password that was not easy to remove. Now running Debian with XFCE.
- Improved HAM Setup - Just today got installed my Diamond X-50 in the attic. Install was a breeze and range is damn good!
I suppose that’s enough for now. I’ll probably focus on the current stories first, such as the weather and solar flaring. There are also ideas of many things to come and projects I’d like to get going. Sooner or later there’ll also be a rant about my deluge into .NET and C#.
It’s late and work is only 8 hours away, g’nite.
